Most Common Nodejs Related Errors & Their Solutions

Here is an example of a common Node.js error and its solution:

Error: Cannot find module '<module>'

This error occurs when you are trying to import a module that cannot be found. This can happen if the module is not installed, or if the path to the module is incorrect.

Solution: To fix this error, make sure that the module is installed and that the path to the module is correct. If the module is not installed, you can install it using npm install <module>. If the path to the module is incorrect, make sure that you are using the correct relative or absolute path to the module.

Here are some other common Node.js errors and their solutions:

Error: Uncaught Exception: <error message>

This error occurs when an exception is thrown in your code and is not caught by a try-catch block.

Solution: To fix this error, you will need to locate the code that is causing the exception to be thrown and either handle the exception using a try-catch block, or fix the underlying issue that is causing the exception to be thrown.

Error: EADDRINUSE: address already in use :::<port>

This error occurs when you are trying to start a server on a port that is already in use by another process.

Solution: To fix this error, you will need to stop the other process that is using the port, or use a different port for your server. You can use the lsof -i :<port> command to find the process that is using the port, and the kill -9 <pid> command to stop the process.

Error: ECONNREFUSED: connection refused

This error occurs when you are trying to connect to a server and the connection is refused.

Solution: There could be several reasons why the connection is being refused. Make sure that the server is running and that it is listening on the correct port. Also, check that there are no firewalls or other network configurations that are blocking the connection.
