How To Install hping on Mac using Brew

About hping : Command-line oriented TCP/IP packet assembler/analyzer!
hping is a command-line oriented TCP/IP packet assembler/analyzer. hping interface is inspired to ping(8) command in unix, but it isn't only able to send ICMP echo requests. It also supports TCP, UDP, ICMP and RAW-IP protocols, it has a traceroute mode and the ability to send files between a covered channel.
Following things can be done using hping:
  • Firewall testing
  • Advanced port scanning
  • Network testing, using different protocols, TOS, fragmentation
  • Manual path MTU discovery
  • Advanced traceroute
  • Remote OS fingerprinting
  • Remote uptime guessing
  • Auditing of TCP/IP stacks
  • Useful for students to learn TCP/IP

Steps:
  • Launch Terminal
  • Run

    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null
  • Install

    brew install hping
